Lily Latuheru - "Weooh" Remiexs: Allovers / Piers Kirwan / Ruben Mancias / Ed Le0n / Mpeshnyk Genre: Vocal House / Soulful house / Disco / House Early support from:Evan Landes (Groove Junkies) / Graeme Park / Aad Mouthaan / Robert Owens / Rasmus Faber / Tony Powell / Michael Fossati / Mousse T.... Marco Finotello, born and raised in the beautiful city of Venice, studied percussion and drums at the Academy of Music, specializing in percussion instruments and drums. He began DJ'ing in clubs and radio as early as 1982 while professionally he was making his mark as a sound designer for film and television. These two worlds collided when he had the opportunity to create music for a television advertisement, and suddenly Finotello's passion for music was reignited. Soon Marco Finotello had produced a number of tracks laced with jazz, smooth melody, and deep soul. Still working hard in television and cinema, Finotello has also found the time to DJ, form the funky group The Vibes Organization, and record the brand new release for Tall House Digital, the rousing vocal house cut "Weooh." Featuring the mesmerizing vocals of Roman chanteuse Lily Latuheru, "Weooh" cements Finotello's solid knack for effortlessly fusing soul, disco, funk, and house music together in a confident dance floor production. Authentic disco percussion and funky guitar licks add to a heavenly track that could be a perfect mood-setter for quality house music nights or poolside days in Miami. It's a feast of musical delights, intoxicating melodies, and a groove that just digs in. Russian house duo Allovers (Open Bar, Perception Music) are first on remix duties, delivering not only an inspiring full vocal remix but also a cool fresh and funky dub. Their vocal mix is an outstanding production that invites with its lush chords, warm synths, and atmospheric strings aiming to caress the eardrums. The Allovers Dub puts a new, funky spin on the track adding a slightly vintage sound sprinkled with crafty percussion work and well-placed vocal drops . it's a knockout dub, for sure. Parisian producer and Tall House veteran Ed Le0n is up next with a mix that successfully straddles the line between soulful house and an electro-funky vibe. Ed's version has the original close to its chest, with nicely refined beats, a refreshed bass line, and some pleasingly vibrant synth action. Ruben Mancias has gained the respect over the years for his unique sound and has his own club night 'Devotion' and has worked with some of the biggest vocalist in dance. Ruben's remix is another toughened up percussive bomb. Ruben spanks it and creates a deeper, fierce house remix with a monster groove, an epic journey of pumped up slightly techy vocal house music, creative use of Lily Latuheru's vocals as Ruben lets the song do its work, then takes it down a notch and moves through to the head bobbin, dubbed out pressure! South African Mpeshnyk lays down some funky Nu Jazz soul, feeling fresh the man winds it in and creates a cool atmospheric vibe. Raw wood percussion puts a spring in your step while organ chords gives you something soft to land on. A different take and little something extra Mpeshnyk hits the spot for the Nu Jazz crew! Finally, we hear from Piers Kirwan, one half of Stereo Mutants and having recorded for the likes of Defected, Duffnote, and Seamless. His remix toughens up the beats, but keeping the essence of the soulful vocals while adding some serious bass pressure. As usual, a Kirwan mix guarantees infectious soulful house with chunky beats, funky bass lines, and plenty of vibe that will see some heavy dance floor action. Proper tracks all around from Tall House Digita
